Design of a new logo for Éditions Monts Métallifères and art direction for a new dystopian book series: Pb82. The new logo draws direct inspiration from the name—*Monts Métallifères* (Ore Mountains)—referring to the metal-rich mining region straddling Germany and the Czech Republic. I sourced the lettering from a Russian mining bond dating back to the last century, while the symbol itself represents mine shafts. The logo is generative, meaning it varies from book to book, offering infinite possibilities. The identity of the Pb82 series (named after the chemical symbol for lead) is defined by a solid black block covering the entire book, including the spine. The cover design features illustrations by Ludovic Debeurme and the razor-sharp GT Sectra typeface. Project created in collaboration with the agency Yokna.
